Webquest

Webquest is a great way for children to be able to use the web at home and learn on their own. I am interested in teaching Kindergarten and there are several ways that I might be able to use a webquest to help my students learn. I will probably do a webquest about the season Spring. I need to incorporate the changes in behavior of people and animals. I will create the webquest about  the changes in the season and how spring effects the changes of people and animals.

This is the form I liked the best. I liked it because it has good questions and I understand what it is asking. I also really like that you grade it and at the end it tells you how well it did so it’s not just your opinion it actually tells you how good of a website it is.

Were there any hidden secrets about a website you discovered by using an evaluation form? I really liked the websites that were easy to navigate. It’s always frustrating when you cant find what you’re looking for because of the

What is the value of using a web site evaluation process? Yes, I liked using the evaluation forms because then I knew what I was looking for. I wasn’t looking at the websites and evaluating them blindly.

Are there times you would/would not use a formal evaluation? I feel formal evaluations should be used when you are going to use the site for educational purposes. If you are going to give someone a website to go to then it is important that you know that website will help them and not give them problems. Technical problems are always the hardest to figure out.
