So the next coming months will be super crazy and way exciting!! I cant wait for them! David and I are going down to Vegas for Thanksgiving! Should be a fun time! I love thanks giving! I learned some really cool recipes and center pieces and such i might try for Thanksgiving dinner! and hopefully we'll get some football in and jump rope!! I love my family's jump rope tradition i look forward to it all year long!! After Thanksgiving there will be a couple more weeks of teaching then Christmas Break! I'm excited for that but a little nervous at the same time. I'll be in Vegas for a little of it but I'll also be in California with David for part of it also....
Now since Halloween there hasn't been a ton going on. We did have a way fun Relief Society Activity! We had the Bishopric wives talk about traditions they do in their families and share some recipes then we played a little game of Girls only Flag Football! I loved it!!! Sad thing though I'm losing my wonderful 2nd councilor who put it all together :( She's wonderful!
Well I'll post pictures from the holidays! hopefully it wont take me too long!!!

Good Morning Class! Welcome to 6th grade! I am Ms. Burr you're new Math teacher
Wow! first week done and over. it was only two days the students came on Thursday, but it was a great start! this is the HOTT orange shirt the faculty wore on the first two days of school.
I dont think it's that bad like some may. I was just grateful that i didnt have to think too hard about what i was going to wear on day one! my students seem to be ready and accepting the fact that summer is over. This week was kind of CRAZY we had a totally off schedule, but we made it through. we start normal tomorrow! :) We've just been doing the basics get to know you things and get to know the school. My goal this week is to get to know all of my 157 student's names. I have a few down already, but the popular names this year are Madison, Mason, Dillon, Rachel (spelled in lots of different ways) I have lots of same names in my class so it will be an adventure trying to keep the last names straight :) I love my school! it's like i'm part of the family! i love it! everyone is such a big help. and i've made lots of friends with the staff already!I've also had some wonderful friends come out and help me set up my classroom. THANK YOU!!!!
Next item of craziness.....there are some changes being made in the YSA stakes here in Cache Valley. I'm trying to get relief society all organized but it's difficult with the start of a new school year and all the other changes that are coming about! but it's a definite learning experience! i'm enjoying it! Things seem to be working out great! slowly but surely it will all come together. that's a comforting part of this gospel. Everything has a plan and it will happen one way or another.
Other random thoughts: I miss Vegas. I'm missing my little brother's football games and my adorable nieces and nephews. I wish i could be there for Bentley's blessing! I am loving Logan! Sarah stayed with me for a week while she was homeless. i miss her already! I love teaching and staying busy! it's a great feeling to have a routine again and be getting into new habits :)

Routine??
Well I was hoping to get into a good routine being back in Logan but it seems to be harder than I thought. I did get my room set up with the help of my wonderful mom and a little help from Dave [we needed someone to carry the heavy stuff ;)] Buster seems to like it. Except he reminds me of the fish on Finding Nemo who organized the plan to escape the tank. I think Buster wants to be free....

It's nice to be back in Logan I started a little with my classroom [pictures will be coming] I'm sort of forced to pause in progress on the actual setting up of my room because they are waxing the hall ways so I'm working on lessons :)
But I've been enjoying seeing friends again. It's nice to be back in my ward! It will be a good time! I've been out to the cliff jumping and on a picnic and FHE dutch oven cooking it's been fun! I took second place in the dutch oven cook off :)
I found these pictures of the last couple adventures in Vegas. This first one i had to put up it's the car ride back from our day trip to Cali. We had been driving for 3 minutes and stopped for gas and this was what my passengers looked like for the next 3 hours almost! haha it was fun!
This is Andrew at his Eagle Project! It went so quick we didn't know what to do! Putting together humanitarian kits can go quick if you have good sets of hands and good system. I was happy I was able to be in Vegas for that!

The End is in sight...
Okay so i will be graduation May 8th, 2010! The speeches and all are at 9 am then we will walk in a different ceremony at 12pm! This all seems sooo crazy! but it's here and i cant wait to walk! oh and my graduation gown is 4 times too large! all the girls in my house could fit into one and still be able to zip it up! So my last week and a half consists of the following......Opera for Kindergarten- Made a hen costume, power point, a dance for the animals, etc.....finish my ridiculous portfolio.....turn in last minute lesson plans.....PACK (still havent started and I move in 9 days!).....play of course!....and train the new me at work! it will be a busy time! and I hope I can make it, but i have a wonderful sister in law staying with me all week, so she will keep me sane! (THANKS CYNTHIA!!!) It will be hard to say good bye to Logan and all the people (who are also leaving, and the ones who are staying) but it will be good I cant wait for the ridiculous heat in Vegas this summer!

Kindergarten
So I am loving my student teaching! hugs all the time! I love those little kids they are sooo cute and they are so loving. I get to start teaching math next week. We are learning how to write larger numbers. I start with 11 and 12 on Monday. It might be a little difficult for them to grasp because eleven and twelve are such weird words. numbers like twenty one and twenty two follow a pattern, but someone had to come up with random difficult words for adding one to 10 and two to 10. but it's okay they will get it! Then the week after that i start my Thematic Unit. I am doing Baby Animals. We will talk about how some babies grow in their mom's tummy and some in water and some in hard shells. Also about the names of baby animals like Cow and Calf and Colt and Horse. So it should be dun. if anyone has any fun activities or ideas to do with baby animals let me know. I think i'm going to try and find out if someone can bring in baby animals. I know someone with a baby pig so that will be fun for the kiddos! :) It's going good just CRAZY BUSY! it's alot of work.

Block ONE
So the first block of my Student Teaching is over! weird! it's gone by sooo fast! it's amazing to me how fast time is going by! I taught at Cedar Ridge Middle School in Hyde Park just north of Logan. I was so nervous for it, but i made it and surprisingly enough i loved it! I think i could possibly teach middle school. Now I'm going to KINDERGARTEN! Which is what i have always wanted to teach!! it's such a huge jump!! I'm excited for the little kids who love you so much and are so sweet. I'm ready to tie shoes, zip up coats, wipe noses, and get a million hugs a day! it will be fun! i really am excited!
also this is a little something I've been working on in my spar time! :) it's a memory blanket. I've cut up a bunch of my t-shirts and sewed them together. it's a work in progress, and i still need to decide what to do with the back but I'm excited for it!!
