It's 2011!!

Well the Holidays were fun! Thanksgiving was a fun time! I was able to take an extra day off of work and go home a little early! It was great! Didn't try any new things I learned but Kylie and I decorated the Table cool! It was a nice break! David came with me and met the Family...It went pretty good :) They didn't scare him away so that's a plus!!! hehe

Christmas break came a few weeks later. Everyone in Logan left a week before me which was kind of depressing, but it was okay my students were good and I had a some fun with a couple friends I haven't been able to see a ton :) It was kind of a somber few days before break at my school. There was a fatal accident that killed two of the siblings of one of my student's. It was

a hard thing because a lot of the people I work with know the family very well. The 18 year old daughter was driving and slipped on black ice which sent the car into on coming traffic and was hit by another car. The two girls in the front were sent to the hospital in critical condition and since have recovered. The two little boys in the back were killed. They were elementary age. This poor family has had a hard time. Their basement flooded a couple days after the accident. It's been amazing to see how the community has come together to help them. They are well known in the community. There have been several fundraisers put together for them. My Prayers are with them.

The break from school was a great relief. It was nice to get away from cold snowy Logan! I went to Vegas for a few days. It was short, but wonderful to be home again.

The last week of my break I wen to David's Parent's house. My

turn to meet the Family. It was fun! Very relaxing! some shopping and sight seeing. David's Parents and Siblings were great! It was fun to get to know them. We all went snowboarding one day...including David's grandma! It was a little crazy trying to get tickets and such but we finally got on the slopes! It was a good day!

I came back to Logan and had another week of everyone gone. But that week went by really fast cause i slept most of it trying to get over the flu and a cold. I lost my voice too. The reaction I got from my students was quiet funny! Sometimes they would whisper just because I was whispering. It made me laugh!

I saved the best for last! I worked at McDonalds for an hour one night. This was a fundraiser for my school. The teachers took shifts at the South Logan McDonalds and 20% of the proceeds went straight back to our school. It was sooo much fun! We actually made a new record for the most items sold in one hour at the store! It was really cool!
